POSITIONEating Disorder Therapist
IN THE OFFICEI specialize in eating disorders, anxiety, OCD, and depression — and I also work at UTHealth Center for Eating Disorders, where I support clients at higher levels of care. Between the two, eating disorder treatment is pretty much what I live and breathe.
My approach is straightforward: I want to create a space where you feel respected and understood, not judged or managed. I use evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, ACT, and Family Based Treatment (FBT), but I'm always more focused on what actually works for you than on following a script.
I have a particular passion for working with teens, and I genuinely believe that parents and families are one of the most powerful resources in helping a young person get better – if you're a parent trying to figure out how to show up for your kid, I want to support you, too.
OUT OF THE OFFICE
When I’m not in sessions, you can find me…
- Watching, reading, and otherwise appreciating anime (my favorite is One Punch Man)
- Collecting Pokemon cards, particularly anything Charizard or Dragonite-related
- Strolling the parks and playing fetch with Maya
- Trying a new coffee shop and searching for the best honeybuns in Houston
