Group therapy in Houston, TX

Everyone tells you “you’re not alone!” — we’re here to prove it.

Group counseling doesn’t just give you an additional opportunity to process and heal — it gives you the chance to see firsthand that you’re not alone in your struggles, those intrusive thoughts, or the things you feel ashamed about.

Get started

Individual therapy is powerful. Group therapy takes it even further.

  • You realize you're not doing it alone. Sitting in a room (or a Zoom) with people who genuinely get it hits differently than being told "other people feel this way too.”
  • Mealtimes feel a little less scary. Group support around meals helps you build confidence with eating in real time, not just in theory.
  • You gain perspective you can't get on your own. Sometimes, hearing someone else's experience is what finally makes something click for you.
  • It chips away at the shame. The more you talk about it in a safe space, the less power it has over you.
  • You get to practice showing up. For a lot of people with EDs, social situations feel loaded. Group is a low-stakes place to practice being present with others without the pressure.
  • You build real connection. The relationships formed in groups have a way of sticking around long after the session ends.

Teen Girls' Support Group

A weekly virtual space where your teen can finally talk about the hard stuff, with girls who actually get it.

In this group, we'll....

  • Work through anxiety and depression in a space that feels safe and judgment-free
  • Build confidence and start to untangle the complicated relationship so many teen girls have with their bodies and self-image
  • Develop real social skills and learn how to navigate friendships, conflict, and the pressure that comes with being a teenage girl
  • Connect with peers who are dealing with similar challenges, because knowing you're not the only one makes all the difference

Teen Boys’ Support Group

Teen boys who learn to process their emotions early are the ones who show up better: for themselves, their friendships, and eventually, their relationships. Here, they'll learn how to do it without shame.

In this group, your teen will...

  • Learn how to actually manage anxiety and depression instead of just pushing through it
  • Build self-esteem and work through the pressure that comes with being a teenage boy
  • Build social skills and figure out how to navigate friendships, conflict, and the emotions that are hard to put into words
  • Walk away knowing he’s not the only one going through it, with a safe space to process the ups and downs of adolescence

Body Image Support Group

Your relationship with your body is more complicated than just "trying to be nicer to yourself" — and healing it requires more than positive affirmations and a gratitude journal.

In this group, we'll...

  • Start to separate your worth from what you see in the mirror
  • Unpack where the "thin ideal" came from and what it looks like to stop letting it run the show
  • Build coping strategies for the hard body image days that don't involve avoiding mirrors, canceling plans, or taking it out on your body
  • Connect with people experiencing the same thing, who are ready to support you when it’s hard and celebrate with you as it becomes easier

Meal Support Group

Eating with the support of others is a key part of making your recovery realistic — it gives you an opportunity to apply what you’re working on in session in a low-pressure, non-judgmental environment, and makes actually eating your meal plan a little bit more doable.

In this group, we'll....

  • Bring your meal or snack to our virtual group room and practice eating with the accountability of others who are doing the same thing right alongside you
  • Work on regulating the emotions that come up before, during, and after eating — in real time, with real support
  • Practice interacting with new or “challenge” foods in a safe space
